Abstract

CO2 separation from natural gas having high content of CO2 is very important in purifying processes. Among the many methods which have been investigated, using supported ionic liquid membranes (SILM) shows promising results. This article briefly presents the SILM preparation process, the CO2 separation mechanism and the application potential of supported ionic liquid membranes in CO2 separation from natural gas.
