Study on the characteristics of nanosilica-surfactant complex and its oil displacement efficiency
Abstract
The paper compared the dispersion of nanosilica colloids and nanosilica particles when mixed with a high concentration of surfactants. At the same time, it evaluated some characteristics of the complex such as interfacial tension (IFT), contact angle and the oil replacement efficiency. The results showed that the oil replacement efficiency of nanosilicasurfactant complex is better than that of the surfactants or nanosilica. The contact angle of the complex is also reduced to 56.48o.
