Abstract

The field trial of the high performance water-based drilling fluid system PROTROL has been successfully performed at well 902-RC9 in Rong field of CuuLong basin by DMC-Drilling Fluids and Well Services (DMC-WS) and Vietsovpetro Joint Venture. The mud system has proved its advanced clay-swelling inhibition, bore-hole stabilisation as well as other outstanding properties of rheology, fluid loss control, anti-accretion and lubricity.
